Mother’s Day Cup of Tea Card:

  1. First, you’ll need to cut out your egg carton. For the “cup of tea” part of the card, simply cut the bottom of one egg carton cup from the carton. Then, cut the cup in half so you have one side that has a flat edge – leaving three sides intact. Cut an extra piece of egg carton into a ‘C’ shape to use for the teacup handle.
  2. Next, paint the egg carton cup and ‘C’ shape the colour of your choice and let dry.
  3. While you wait for your egg carton cup to dry, cut a 4”x6” card stock paper in half and fold it in half for your card.
  4. Once the egg carton cup is dry, use a glue stick or hot glue gun to glue the flat edges of the egg carton to your cardstock. Glue the ‘C’ shape to the cardstock next to your egg carton cup.
  5. Once the glue has dried, take the tea bag and place this inside the paper egg carton teacup. To secure the tea bag, glue the tea bag tag to your cardstock.

The perfect card for Mother’s Day is now ready! Feel free to decorate the rest of the card to your liking and write a sentimental note to mom letting her know how much you care.
